ABDOMINAL HERNIA REPAIR

Above is a shot at the Best Buy Geek Squad counter after getting my camera fixed under warranty, with a note saying they preformed "lens and associated items repair". Yet the exact same focus problem remains.

I had Best Buy send it back in with extra instructions to explain in more detail how to find the problem. I even talked to a Geek Squad supervisor to make sure they provided plenty of detail about the problem. Apparently it wasn't enough. Precision Camera Repair left me a message saying, "Our technicians reviewed you unit but were unable to find anything wrong with it. It working up to the factory specifications."

To show the problem: Turn on the camera. Camera should be in center point focus mode (the default). Do nothing other than hit the shutter button while aimed at something more than a few feet away (past about 5-10 feet). Do not Zoom! The camera can focus if zoomed (enough) or when shooting closeups. It cannot focus at a distance when shot at the widest setting. Look at the photo up close and see it is not in focus. That is not even close to factory specifications. This camera used to be sharp when focusing on objects at a distance. This is not due to motion blur or camera shake. Image Stabilization is on. It happens with or without flash.

Below shows where the Camera focus point was on that photo (according to PhotoME). And a blow up of that focus area showing it is not in focus. There is no part of this photo in focus.

I just found a very old camera from my Dad's Trunk ... I think its 80's camera ... Can Anybody help me out with where i can get it repaired. I dont think I will be able to find the parts to replace on a general camera repair shop
